My wife bought me a Nuvi 600 for Christmas. I’m very impressed with it. It is very quick to load up the map and acquire a signal at start up. It has never lost its signal while I’ve been using it. I updated the maps online from the Garmin website with ease. A feature I love is its ability to recalculate a route if you leave its route by choice. If you know the area and know a shorter way you can take it and it will help you along. You can show your actual location with the latitude and longitude in one screen display which I found very useful. When I take it walking around it’s so small it easily slips into my pocket so you really don’t have to leave it on display for people to steal in your car.
